Herman Cain Announces He is “Suspending” His Presidential Campaign – VIDEO 12/3/11

Herman Cain announced today to supporters in Atlanta that he is “suspending” his Presidential Campaign in the wake of the allegations against him of sexual harassment and that he had an affair with a Georgia woman. Cain called the allegations “false,” and told the crowd that he is “at peace” with God, with his wife, and with himself, but that the continued attacks on him have been too painful for his wife and family.

Cain was accompanied by his wife, Gloria, who stood behind him as he spoke. He also said he will be making an endorsement in the GOP Presidential Nomination race at some point in the future.

UPDATE: Below is complete video of Herman Cain’s Speech ending his Presidential Campaign:

So, if this is completely true, evil wins again.  Evil lies and attacks have kicked out Palin and Cain.   Evil only can exist and persist when good men do nothing.   We have to be stronger.  Either Cain is not telling the truth or he is a quitter.  We can’t continue like this and win the battle.

It is a sad day, Brad. If Herman Cain is not guilty of what he has been accused, it is a real tragedy. He certainly hurt himself with the poor interviews he did, but the worst of those came after the harassment allegations, when he was really worn down.

I like Herman Cain and have a lot of respect for him. He did what he probably had to do today, and clearly believed it was the right thing for his family.

Herman did what he had to do.

Brian, you are right about him doing what is best for his family.  The problem is the other side never stops running and hurting the country to do what is in the best interest of their family.  This is a battle that calls for unusually heroic and self-sacrificial maneuvers.
