Donald Trump Fires Back at Ron Paul on Debate Rejection: “He’s Got No Chance. . . He’s a Joke. . . He’s Cutsie. . . But He’s Not Going Anywhere” – Video 12/5/11

Here is video from Fox & Friends this morning where Donald Trump was interviewed on Ron Paul’s decision to reject an invitation to take part in a debate sponsored by NewsMax and to be moderated by Trump.

On Ron Paul’s rejection, Trump said:

“I don’t care. Ron Paul is not going to win. He’s got no chance. You have a better chance right now of winning. It’s a joke. He’s a joke. Here’s a man that wants — does he care if Iran has a nuclear weapon that can wipe out Israel? He doesn’t care. ‘Let them do whatever they want. They can make their own nuclear weapons.’ It’s ridiculous. So he’s not going to win. He’s not going anywhere. He’s cutsie. He’s got some nice little slogans. But, he’s not going anywhere.”

Trump also said he would be making an endorsement in the GOP Race sometime before the primary season begins, and if his candidate does not win the nomination, he would consider running as a third-party candidate in the 2012 Presidential race. He would be able to throw his hat in the ring sometime after May 2012, when his TV show contract is up. When pressed on the reality that his running would likely throw the election to Obama, Trump said he’s not sure that calculation applies in the 2012 Election, because there is such a large independent voting base.
