This is why you don’t do a hitpiece on Donald Trump just before you talk to him by phone!

MSNBC’s Chuck Todd did just that this morning, pushing a story that a Donald Trump endorsement would actually hurt GOP Candidates in Iowa and New Hampshire. Todd told viewers that Donald Trump “wanted to respond” to the poll numbers. When Trump came on the phone line to talk to Todd, he pointed out that Todd was not being truthful in saying he wanted to respond,when in fact, it was Todd’s people that called Trump “40 times” to get him on the show. Trump told Todd “You have to tell the truth, Chuck.”

Todd became clearly flustered at Trump continuing to tell Todd to “get the facts straight” and “tell the truth.”

Trump also hammered Karl Rove, who criticized the idea of Donald Trump moderating a GOP Debate.
