Gallup Tracking Poll on GOP Nomination Race Debuts with Newt Gingrich Up by 15 Points – 12/6/11

Gallup has begun conducting a five-day rolling average national tracking poll on the 2012 GOP Presidential Nomination race.
The first results are out, and Gallup finds Newt Gingrich with a 15 point lead over Mitt Romney, 37%-22%, with no other candidate even in double-digits.
In our 21-day polling average of national polls on the GOP Race, Newt Gingrich now leads Mitt Romney 29.1% – 20.5%, with Ron Paul in third place at 8%.
