Glenn Beck Does Extensive Interview with Newt Gingrich; Has “Serious Concerns” about His Policies – Complete Video 12/6/11

PART 1

PART 2

Here is video of Glenn Beck doing an extensive interview with Newt Gingrich on his radio show yesterday.

Beck prefaced the interview by saying Gingrich is a “nice person,” but that he has “serious concerns” about many of Gingrich’s views. Beck asked Gingrich about his past statements praising President Theodore Roosevelt. Gingrich said he was praising him for bringing about “minimum standards of regulation” for food in the early days of the 20th Century. He said he does not support “picking winners and losers” in the U.S. Economy. Beck pressed him on why he supports subsidies for ethanol, to which Gingrich responded he supports subsidies for exploring “all forms of American energy” – including oil and gas exploration, to make the U.S. energy independent.

Beck repeatedly played clips of Gingrich making statements over his career that would seem to support an “individual mandate” for people to purchase health care. Much of it was back when he was battling Hillarycare in the 1990′s. Gingrich explained his support for young people being able to take their Social Security contributions and put them in a savings account that would allow the money to build up and to be their own money for their estate when they die.
