If you had any doubt whether the Mitt Romney Campaign is scared out of their minds about Newt Gingrich – here’s proof.

Mitt Romney has launched a full-frontal assault on Newt Gingrich with this ad that hammers him with his own words earlier this year – Gingrich’s infamous “right-wing social engineering” remark on Paul Ryan’s budget plan. The statement by Gingrich almost ended his campaign then, and Romney is clearly hoping it will destroy him now.

So far, Gingrich has remained positive, refusing to go negative on Romney or the other GOP Candidates. It will be interesting to see how he responds to ads like this. As for Romney, he has not been able to get above 25% support among Republicans nationally. His strategy appears to be to just tear down Gingrich and hope he can win with 25%.
