New Poll in Iowa Shows Rep. Ron Paul Surging to within One-Point of Newt Gingrich – 12/13/11

A new PPP Poll in Iowa shows Newt Gingrich still ahead, but by only one-point over Ron Paul, 22%-21%. Gingrich has lost ground and Paul has moved up. Mitt Romney is third at 16%, with Michele Bachmann in double-digits at 11%.

The 21-day average of polls in Iowa has Gingrich leading Romney 28%-17%, with Ron Paul at 16.2%. We’ll see if other polls begin to confirm this trend of Gingrich down and Paul rising.
