New Rasmussen Poll Shows Gov. Mitt Romney Taking the Lead in Iowa – 12/15/11

A new Rasmussen Poll out today on the GOP Presidential Nomination race in Iowa shows Gov. Mitt Romney moving out to a three point lead over Newt Gingrich, 23%-20%. Ron Paul is third at 18%, with Rick Perry in double-digits at 10%.

This poll represents a rather dramatic change from November 15, when Gingrich held a 13 point lead over Romney, 32%-19%, in the previous Rasmussen survey.

It would appear that the avalanche of negative attacks on Gingrich for the past week are working – working to bring Gingrich’s numbers down, and move Romney’s numbers up.
