A Second Poll Shows Ron Paul Pulling Ahead in Iowa; Gingrich Falling While Perry Moves Up – 12/19/11

A second new poll is out today showing Rep. Ron Paul now leading the GOP Presidential race in Iowa. A new Insider Advantage Poll puts Paul up by six-points over Mitt Romney, 24%-18%, with Rick Perry in third place with 16%. Newt Gingrich has fallen all the way down to 13%. This is a major move up for Rick Perry, putting him only 8 points behind Ron Paul. Perry has a history of finishing strong in his races for elected office in Texas.

This now puts Ron Paul ahead in the 10-day average of polls from Iowa by a 21.7% – 20.3% margin over Mitt Romney, with Gingrich now in third at 15.7%.

Despite being on team Romney, I sort of hope Ron Paul wins Iowa.  I don’t think Iowan’s represent America and shouldn’t be first to vote.  If they give their vote to Ron Paul they’ll never be taken even halfway seriously again. (But giving it to Perry is an awesome choice too. That would also help Romney.  There’s no way America will support Perry either.)

Very sad your preconceived notion that freedom, the constitution, and noninterventionist viewpoints are some how not worthy of being taken seriously.  God help us all.
