“Face the Nation” Panel Previews Upcoming Iowa Caucuses; Agrees Rick Santorum has a Real Shot at Victory – Video 1/1/12

Here is video of CBS News’ Bob Scheiffer on Face the Nation talking with a political panel about the upcoming Iowa Caucuses. The panel agreed that Rick Santorum is surging at just the right time, and has a real shot at winning the Caucuses. However, Mike Allen made the case that the Mitt Romney Campaign is thrilled about Santorum rising because they want him to become the “anti-Romney,” because they believe he does not have the money or the organization to compete with Romney outside of Iowa. Therefore, if that is true, the Romney camp believes a Santorum win or strong finish in Iowa cripples the other more conservative candidates and keeps them from mounting a credible challenge to Romney.
