Newt Gingrich Begins Hammering Mitt Romney as a “Massachusetts Moderate at Best”; Says He “Registered as a Democrat to Vote for Paul Tsongas” in 1992 – Video 1/2/12

Here is video of Newt Gingrich beginning the onslaught of attacks against Mitt Romney. Gingrich has been savaged in Iowa by Romney, or pro-Romney ads, and it is clear he is ready to go after Romney once Iowa is over. He won’t call it “going negative,” but he is prepared to spend time “contrasting” what he calls his “conservative record” and Romney’s “moderate at best” record.

Among other things, Gingrich mentions that Romney “registered as a Democrat to vote for Paul Tsongas, who was the most liberal guy running in 1992. He called himself a ‘moderate’ running for Governor in 2002.”

Romney is not going to get a free pass from Gingrich anymore.
