12 UPDATED: Iowa GOP Chair Confirms Romney Victory by 8 Votes

Karl Rove just announced on Fox News that Mitt Romney will wind up winning the Iowa Caucuses by 14 votes. That is the result of the one outstanding precinct giving Romney an 18 vote margin, helping him overcome a 4 vote lead for Santorum. Rove reports that all sides have agreed to the total. Rove’s information came from sources inside the Republican National Committee.

UPDATED 2:35 AM 1/4/12 - Iowa’s GOP Chair just came out and confirmed the final total. Mitt Romney won by 8 votes over Rick Santorum, 30,015 – 30,007.
