“Campaign officials confirm that Jon Huntsman will withdraw from the race for GOP presidential nomination.

Huntsman plans to speak to reporters Monday at 11 a.m. ET in Myrtle Beach, S.C. A senior source tells NBC News that Huntsman will announce his support for Mitt Romney.

The former Utah governor placed third in last week’s New Hampshire primary despite devoting much of his campaign resources to the state. He had already acknowledged that expectations for him in South Carolina’s primary this week will be “very low.”" . . .
