Here is how you withdraw from a Presidential race.
This is complete video of Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s speech today withdrawing from the GOP Presidential race with pride and grace. Perry ended his campaign and strongly endorsed Newt Gingrich for President. Perry indirectly referenced Gingrich’s troubled marital history, saying Gingrich is “not perfect – but who among us is.” He also said he believes in “forgiveness and redemption,” and endorsed Gingrich as a “true conservative” who can turn things around in Washington.
UPDATE: Perry’s endorsement of Gingrich just two days before the vote in South Carolina is dominating the news so far today – a big plus for Gingrich and what has to be a real disappointment for Rick Santorum, who had hoped the revised numbers in Iowa would be the big story of the day.
