Mitt Romney Concession Speech after Losing South Carolina Primary to Newt Gingrich – Complete Video 1/21/12

Here is video of Mitt Romney’s concession speech tonight in South Carolina, after Newt Gingrich was declared the winner of the GOP South Carolina Primary. Romney congratulated “Speaker Gingrich,” but demonstrated the attacks that are to come from his campaign against him. Romney hammered those who would attack Free Enterprise and Capitalism, a line of attack against Gingrich sure to be a focus of the weeks ahead.

Despite the talking points coming out of the Romney Campaign, this loss – which looks like it will be double-digits – after leading the polls by 25 points just one week ago, has to be devastating. They never dreamed Newt Gingrich could come back and beat them. Now the race is truly turned upside down.

    No Mit, One of your running mate is not attacking capitalism, He is attacking venture (vulture) capitalism. You can try to sell the “Greed Is Good,” argument as much as you like but the 99% will see you as you are; totally out of touch with us who live our lives paycheck to paycheck.
    You “enjoyed firing” people like this so you could make millions of dollars.
    You SHOULD apologize for being successful at the expense of the middle class and the poor.
    I’m a Republican but you will never get my vote. You represent the worst in capitalism and the culture of greed and callousness toward your fellow American.
    No wonder you won’t release your tax returns. All would see how slick you operate. How totally unlike you are compared to the rest of us.
    Really who want’s an upper 1% of the 1% representing us?

    I do not favor Romney but there is no reason for him to apologize for being successful.  That is anti-American at it’s core.  If my employer is abusing me then I am free to go somewhere else.  In my years of hard work, I have helped to make others successful as well as myself, despite the effort they may have put in.  That is  the way it works.  If he was unethical in his dealings in business then that certainly is a consideration for voters but I would never ask him to apologize for success.  If we are envious as a people we cannot move forward.

    He’s gigging Newt Gingrich for attacking his work at Bain Capital. He considers that attack as something that would come from the Left – not from Republicans.
