Powerful New PAC Ad Ties Mitt Romney and RomneyCare Directly to ObamaCare; Shows Romney Calling Himself a “Moderate” with “Progressive” Views – Video 1/24/12

Here is video of a powerful new ad by “Winning the Future” – the superPAC supporting Newt Gingrich – that uses Mitt Romney’s own words to directly link his RomneyCare Health Plan in Massachusetts to Barack Obama and ObamaCare. Romney has repeatedly said he never supported taking the idea of mandated health care to a national level – but this ad shows video of Romney himself saying, “We put together an exchange and the President himself is copying that idea. I’m glad to hear that. . . We’ll end up with a nation that has taken a mandate approach.”

Further, the ad shows Romney calling himself a “moderate” with “views that are Progressive.”

This is why Romney cannot be trusted.  This issue impacts 300 million Americans.  Gingrich consulting for Fannie and Freddy impacts zero.

How about some context?  Here’s the rest of the quote:
We let people buy their own private insurance. Most people can afford to buy that insurance, once you have an exchange that allows them to do that on a cost-effective basis. And then for those that are low income, you help them buy their own private insurance. But you don’t set up a government insurance plan, because it’s going to end up costing billions of dollars in subsidy. It’s the wrong way to go.
