New Poll Shows Mitt Romney with a 7 Point Lead over Newt Gingrich in Florida

A new American Research Group Poll that included polling both before and after the most recent GOP Presidential Debate gives Gov. Mitt Romney a 7 point lead over Newt Gingrich in Florida, 41%-34%. Rick Santorum is far back at just 9%, followed by Ron Paul at 7%.

We’ll have to see if this move up by Romney is confirmed by more polling done after Monday’s debate, in which Mitt Romney was far more aggressive in his attacks on Newt Gingrich.

The 3-day average of polls in Florida has Newt Gingrich leading by 2.7 points over Mitt Romney. But the 7-day average has Romney leading Gingrich by 1.9 points.
