This is a brilliant ad!

This new ad by Rick Santorum features a Romney-look alike as “Rombo,” shooting mud at Santorum! It tells voters that “Rombo” is now going to come after Santorum with negative attacks, “slinging mud,” but that this time it’s “going to backfire.”

But the pro-Romney SuperPAC is. No Romney fingerprints, just like the assault on Gingrich in Iowa and Florida. Santorum makes a good move here using humor to try and innoculate himself against the attacks. He’s a much harder target than Gingrich was anyway.

Isn’t it interesting though that Santorum doesn’t even have to worry about fingerprints, no one mentions his negative ads against Romney as though it’s anything distasteful.

Well when ‘Leave it to Beaver’ attacks its cute, adorable, not menacing at all.

When Richie Rich attacks you tend to notice he uses his piles of money to bully.

This is the problem with both Santuckabee and Obamney, both are terrible at attacking… 1 is over the top, the other comes off as a choir boy.

So far Gingrich seems like the perfect junkyard attack dog we need to take Obama down.

Everyone knows I’m Santorum’s biggest fan, and I think this ad, on it’s face really is brilliant. But it’s also handing liberals ammunition for their, well, vile attacks on his name. I wonder if the campaign had that in mind when they came up with this.

Strange, as I remember it, Perry and Paul were both throwing as many negative ads at Gingrich as Romney, but no one seems to notice how it was. SC Gingrich threw more negative ads at Romney than Romney threw. Florida same thing Gingrich had as many negative ads as Romney, again, no one noticed this. Lets be fair here, if possible!!
