Rick Santorum in Interview with “Hannity” Vows to Not Run Campaign that Sticks to a “Sanitized Message”; Will Keep Responding to Voters’ Concerns – Video 2/20/12

PART 1

PART 2

Here is video of Rick Santorum on “Hannity” tonight where he talked about the controversy over his remarks about the “phony theology” that drives Barack Obama’s agenda.

Santorum was talking about Obama’s radical environmental policies – which he described as a “phony theology,” because it is based on an ideology that says people are here to serve the earth. Santorum said he was not talking about Obama’s religious faith.

Hannity had Santorum respond to a range of attacks being made on him, particularly attacks on his views on social issues. The media is launching an all-out assault on Santorum right now, to try and paint him as some kind of religious extremist.

Santorum said he is running a campaign that tries to respond to the concerns of voters, not a campaign that just tries to “stay on message.” As a result, the media takes some of those responses and statements and tries to twist them against him. But Santorum vowed to keep speaking about the issues voters are asking him about.
