Rush Limbaugh: “GOP Establishment in a Panic” over Possible Rick Santorum Nomination – Audio 2/20/12

Here is audio of Rush Limbaugh yesterday on his radio show saying that the “Republican Establishment is in a panic” over the possibility Sen. Rick Santorum may win the GOP Nomination. In fact, Rush said the “Establishment” is prepared to look for another candidate if Mitt Romney loses his home state of Michigan to Santorum. They don’t believe Santorum can win a General Election because of his strong conservative views on Social Issues.

Toward the end of the clip, Rush says he thinks the Left actually fears Santorum, even as they claim they believe he would be the easier candidate to defeat.

The sad thing about Rush is he is talking like a liberal: no facts, just innuendo and speculation. These unnamed sources leaves it open for him to say any thing he wants, to frame it anyway he wants… and what he wants to say is that conservatism is the people’s popular choice, if given the chance. That it is attractive and people will gladly adopt it.  WRONG!  Conservatism is hard and generally you either adopt it because you grew up with it, or out of necessity, because you are a thoughtful, truthful person. Most people don’t have time to think about conservatism and are too busy running around trying to earn a living; many are young and guided by pop culture (totally non conservative); and many don’t care.  Rush is living in the Bunker and still thinks it’s 1984 and he’s talking to a silent, moral majority. Times have changed.
