Former President Bill Clinton Destroys Barack Obama’s “Bain Capital” Attack on Mitt Romney; Says Romney has had a “Sterling Business Career” – Video 5/31/12

This is just too rich!

The Barack Obama Campaign Team has to be seething this morning. Here is video of former President Bill Clinton on CNN last night where he said Mitt Romney had a “sterling business career” and praised him as clearly being qualified to be President on that basis, and because he is a former Governor.

The Obama Campaign has been trying for a month to press the “Bain Capital” attack on Mitt Romney, believing they could define him negatively right out of the gate. Clinton becomes at least the 15th, and most prominent major Democrat to essentially say that Obama’s “Bain” attack is baloney.

Clinton said:

“I don’t think that we ought to get into the position where we say ‘This is bad work. This is good work’. . . There’s no question in terms of getting up and going to the office and, you know, basically performing the essential functions of the office, the man who has been governor and had a sterling business career crosses the qualification threshold.”

In one fell swoop, Clinton blasted Obama’s “Bain Capital” attack out of the water and also undercuts their new line of attack on Romney being unqualified because of his record as Governor of Massachusetts!

This video from “Morning Joe” this morning also shows current Democrat Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick saying yesterday that “Bain Capital” is a “fine company.”
