Too rich for words! I think he’s exactly right.

REUTERS: With both presidents facing tight re-election fights, Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez gave a surprise endorsement to Barack Obama on Sunday – and said the U.S. leader no doubt felt the same.

“I hope this doesn’t harm Obama, but if I was from the United States, I’d vote for Obama,” the socialist Chavez said of a man he first reached out to in 2009 but to whom he has since generally been insulting.

Chavez is running for a new six-year term against opposition challenger Henrique Capriles, while Obama seeks re-election in November against Republican candidate Mitt Romney. Venezuela’s election is next weekend.

“Obama is a good guy … I think that if Obama was from Barlovento or some Caracas neighborhood, he’d vote for Chavez,” the president told state TV, referring to a poor coastal town known for the African roots of its population. . . . Read More

Here is video of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie being hounded by Meet the Press Moderator David Gregory about why he does not believe the “race is over” because Obama is currently leading in battleground state polls. Never mind not a single debate has taken place yet. Christie said emphatically it is not over, and he predicted Romney’s performance in the first debate Wednesday night will be a “restart” of the race and result in moving the polls back in Romney’s direction.

The Dallas Morning News has offered their endorsement of Gov. Mitt Romney for President.

DALLAS MORNING NEWS: Barack Obama will forever be a historic, as well as historical, figure in American life. The 44th U.S. president, yes, but more noteworthy, he will forever be the first African-American to lead a nation riven through centuries by racial and ethnic division. His election in November 2008 inspired. Even those who may not have supported him could not deny the significance. . . .

. . . . On the central issue that will define his presidency — a stalled U.S. economy weighed down by crushing annual deficits and accumulated debt — Obama showed himself to be less leader than follower. While he expended his political capital on new government programs, unemployment stayed at debilitating heights.

For that reason, this newspaper recommends Republican challenger Mitt Romney for president. . . . Read More

Here is a Fox News “Special Report” segment from last night that goes into detail on the Obama Administration’s evolving story on what happened in Benghazi, Libya with the attack on the U.S. Consulate there that killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.

This is an outstanding report, that gives you the timeline of events, from before the events of September 11, 2012, up to the present. We now know that President Obama knew within 24 hours of the attack it was a terrorist attack, but flew off to Las Vegas for a fundraiser anyway the day it was known that Chris Stevens had been killed. The timeline shows that for days after they knew it was a terrorist attack, Barack Obama and his administration officials kept pushing the idea it was a “spontaneous riot” caused by an anti-Islamic video. Barack Obama himself was still pushing that idea on September 18 on the David Letterman Show. He even insinuated that this week in his United Nations speech, not even using the word “terrorist” or “terrorism” during his address.

This is a mess, and it appears Barack Obama is hiding something. He and his administration is desperately trying to muddy the waters as much as possible, with some officials saying one thing and others something else. Obama is avoiding talking about it directly, and the liberal media is letting him get away with it — so far. They clearly want to push dealing with all this past the election, and if the media does not ask Obama about it in the upcoming Presidential Debates, Mitt Romney has to find a way to bring it up.

We are talking about a terrorist attack on the United States on September 11 that killed four Americans – the first U.S. Ambassador killed since 1979. Barack Obama has a responsibility to come clean about what happened and why his administration pushed a false narrative about the attack for so long. Let’s hope he is pushed to give those answers before November 6.

It’s really buried in the write-up, but a new USA Today/Gallup Poll on voter sentiment may have a significant nugget that will start to reveal itself in the week to come. The new poll reveals a “big enthusiasm gap” between Republicans and Democrats heading into the final month of Election 2012. In fact, Republicans have a 16-point advantage in this survey. The Gallup Poll is going to switch to a “Likely Voter” model for their tracking numbers next week. It will be interesting to see if we see a significant move in Romney’s direction in the numbers. My guess is we will. You would expect that to some degree, just moving from “Registered Voters” to “Likely Voters.” But if it is a significant move, it may reflect a decision to begin using poll samples that more accurately reflect what the 2012 Electorate will actually look like as opposed to using the Dem +7 model from 2008. We’ll see!

USA TODAY: . . . Republicans have opened a big enthusiasm gap: 64% say they are more enthusiastic than usual about voting, compared to 48% of Democrats. In general, though, the results show an electorate that is less excited and less engaged than in recent presidential elections.

Democrats are less enthusiastic about voting than in 2008, although Republicans are a bit more enthusiastic. Fewer Democrats and Republicans say they have given a lot of thought to the election than they did in the falls of 2008 and 2004. . . . Read More

Here is video of GOP Rep. Peter King calling for Barack Obama’s U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice to resign over her statements on five Sunday News Shows that the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that killed for Americans, was just a spontaneous riot over a video and not a pre-planned terrorist attack. Rice made those remarks five days after the attack, and information now reveals the Obama Administration knew within 24 hours of the attack that it was a terrorist attack.

I think the higher up officials who told Susan Rice to make those false statements ought to be held accountable. The media needs to press President Obama on what he knew and when he knew it. If there’s an ounce of credibility in the Presidential Debate moderators, they will ask Obama point-blank about this matter, and follow-up on his answers.

Just one in a long line of snubs by this President and his administration against Israel.

Above is video from September 11, 2012, showing the Muslim protesters in Cairo storming the U.S. Embassy and desecrating the American Flag.

So, Egypt does nothing when the U.S. Embassy is stormed and the American Flag is burned, and we give them $450 Million in cash? Makes perfect sense – in an Obama world.

NEW YORK TIMES: The Obama administration notified Congress on Friday that it intends to give Egypt’s new government an emergency cash infusion of $450 million, but the move immediately encountered resistance from lawmakers wary of foreign aid in general and of Egypt’s new course under the leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The aid is part of $1 billion in assistance that the Obama administration has pledged to Egypt to bolster its economy and its transition to democracy following the overthrow last year of Hosni Mubarak, the country’s autocratic president.

Its fate, however, was clouded because of concerns over some of the new government’s policies and its handling of anti-American protests two weeks ago that overwhelmed the American Embassy in Cairo.

The United States Agency for International Development notified Congress of the cash infusion on Friday morning, prompting renewed protests over the foreign aid and the administration’s handling of crises spreading across the Islamic world.

An influential Republican lawmaker, Representative Kay Granger of Texas, immediately announced that she would act to block the assistance because it came at a point when the American relationship with Egypt “has never been under more scrutiny.” . . . Read More

Here is video of Gov. Mike Huckabee on Fox News today where he said about the Obama White House’s handling of the Terrorist Attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya – “We’ve been lied to.”

“Let’s get blunt, no way to sugar coat this. We have been flat-out lied to. They know they lied. As if airplanes crashing into the World Trade Center were just accidents. Anybody with two eyes and IQ of plant life knows what happened in Libya was not spontaneous reaction to a 13-minute video on YouTube. It was a planned orchestrated attack led by terrorists. . . Richard Nixon was forced out of office because he lied, and because he covered some stuff up. I will be blunt and tell you this – nobody died in Watergate. We have people who are dead because of this. There are questions to be answered and Americans ought to demand to get answers.”

Here is audio of Rush Limbaugh today talking about President Obama and his administration’s ongoing effort to keep the full truth from the American people on the Benghazi, Libya Terrorist Attack that killed four Americans – including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Rush believes Obama views what happened as a “harmful campaign issue,” and is continuing to suggest the anti-Muslim video is behind what happened there, even though multiple members of the Obama Administration have said it was a terrorist attack. Yet, Obama as recently as this week at the United Nations, never called it that, and instead spent time denouncing the anti-Islam movie that appeared on YouTube.

Limbaugh said the FBI has not actually gone to the scene to investigate what happened because Obama knows they will tell the truth about what they find – “The FBI will not lie about what they find.”

“O.8% economic ‘growth’ it is banking on for next year?”

This is our future if Barack Obama is re-elected. France’s Socialist Government is set to impose a 75% tax on businesses and “the rich” as a way to prop up their cradle-to-grave Government nanny state. We are headed down the same road with Obama.

REUTERS: President Francois Hollande’s Socialist government unveiled sharp tax hikes on business and the rich on Friday in a 2013 budget aimed at showing France has the fiscal rigor to remain at the core of the euro zone. . . .

But with record unemployment and a barrage of data pointing to economic stagnation, there are fears the deficit target will slip as France falls short of the modest 0.8 percent economic growth rate on which it is banking for next year. . . .

“This is a fighting budget to get the country back on the rails,” Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said, adding that the 0.8 percent growth target was “realistic and ambitious”. . . .

Business will be hit with measures including a cut in the amount of loan interest which is tax-deductible and the cutting of an existing tax break on capital gains from certain share sales – moves worth around four billion and two billion euros each.

“The government is impeding investment and so will block innovation,” Entrepreneurs Club head Guillaume Cairou said of the preference for raising taxes rather than cutting spending.

“France is sick because of the model it has … but is choosing to preserve it.” . . . Read More

He’ll have plenty of material to work with. In fact, that’s going to be the problem. Obama has failed to tell the truth in so many cases, it’s hard to know where to begin. Undoubtedly, Obama will be untruthful throughout the debates as well, because he knows he has willing accomplices in the media who will drive whatever false narrative he throws out, and will defend the indefensible when anyone calls Obama out with the truth:

POLITICO: Mitt Romney plans to turn himself into a one-man truth squad during the first presidential debate next week, casting President Barack Obama as someone who can’t be trusted to stick to the facts or keep his promises. . . .

Romney himself was the first to signal the strategy. “I think he’s going to say a lot of things that aren’t accurate,” Romney said on ABC’s “Good Morning America” earlier this month, adding he would have to choose between correcting Obama and delivering his own message.

“I’d be tempted to go back to that wonderful line by Ronald Reagan, ‘There you go again,’” Romney said. . . .

And in another sign of the Republican strategy heading into the debate on Wednesday in Denver, Karl Rove used his Wall Street Journal column Thursday to advise Romney to call out Obama’s misstatements, without actually calling the president a liar. . . . Read More
