Egyptian Muslims Storm U.S. Embassy Compound in Cairo; Tear U.S. Flag to Pieces; Raise Islamic Black Flag – Video 9/11/12

Here is a CNN International video report on news that Islamic Egyptian protesters stormed the U.S. Embassy compound in Cairo today, tearing the United States Flag to shreds and raising an Islamic Black Flag that reportedly said, “There is no God but Allah and Muhammed is his prophet.”

In the video above, you see the American Flag being torn up (1:20 mark of the video), and pieces of the flag being proudly held by protesters.

The U.S. Embassy in Cairo’s website posted a condemnation of those who have offended the “religious feelings of Muslims,” but says not a word of condemnation for the storming of the U.S. Embassy compound.

Egyptian protesters scaled the walls of the U.S. embassy in Cairo on Tuesday and pulled down the American flag during a protest over what they said was a film being produced in the United States that insulted Prophet Mohammad, witnesses said.

In place of the U.S. flag, the protesters tried to raise a black flag with the words “There is no God but Allah and Mohammad is his messenger”, a Reuters reporter said.
