Romney set forth the principles upon which he would conduct Foreign Policy as President of the United States. He said the world needs real American Leadership, that will bring about a more peaceful world and more security for the United States. Romney pledged to stand strong with Israel, rejecting President Obama’s strategy of creating “daylight” between the U.S. and our closest ally in the Middle East. At the same time, Romney pledged to pursue a free, independent Palestinian State living in peace alongside the State of Israel.
