Remembering the Pearl Harbor Attack that Occurred 71 Years Ago Today – Videos
Here is audio – the best I’ve ever heard – of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s speech to Congress on the December 7, 1941 Japanese attack on Pear Harbor. It is the full audio of Roosevelt’s famous speech, in which he called December 7, 1941, a “date which will live in infamy.” Roosevelt asked Congress to declare war on Japan, and forcefully declared that the American people would win through to victory:
“But always will our whole nation remember the character of the onslaught against us. No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American People in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.“
Here is a video documentary on the Japanese Attack against the United States at Pearl Harbor:
And here is video from the attack and the speech that Roosevelt gave to Congress asking for a Declaration of War against Japan:
By Act of Congress and presidential proclamation, this is National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
