GOP Sen. John Hoeven Blasts Obama on Refusal to Approve the Keystone XL Pipeline: “Mr. President, It Takes more than a Soundbite to get the Economy Going” – Video 2/23/13
Here is video of North Dakota Sen. John Hoeven delivering the GOP Weekly Address today, where he blasted President Obama for refusing to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline that would have brought thousands of good paying jobs to the United States and carry “830,000 barrels of oil a day to U.S. refineries. . . That includes not only oil from Alberta, Canada, but also 100,000 barrels per day of light, sweet crude from the U.S. Bakken region in Montana and my home state of North Dakota.”
Hoeven pointed out the project would not only create thousands of jobs, but would also help keep down the cost of fuel and reduce our dependence on Foreign Oil. But Obama is unwilling to approve the Pipeline because it does not fit with his radical “Green” agenda.
Hoeven did a good job making the case that Obama is all talk on improving the economy, but unwilling to take real steps in reducing regulations and taxes to create an environment where the private sector can flourish and prosper.
