Sen. Mitch McConnell Speech at CPAC 2013: Stands Next to Stack of 20,000 Pages of ObamaCare Regulations – “A Monument to Liberalism” – Complete Video 3/15/13

You don’t normally think of Sen. Mitch McConnell as an outstanding public speaker – but he did a truly great job in his speech at CPAC 2013 this morning!

He hammered the Left for “racist” attacks on his wife, Elaine Chao, and her ethnicity. He praised Sen. Rand Paul and other young rising stars of the GOP. By contrast to the up-and-coming GOP leaders, McConnell said the Democrats’ 2016 Presidential field is shaping up to look like “a rerun of the Golden Girls” – Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden!

McConnell spoke with a massive stack of papers next to him, explaining it was the 20,000 pages of regulations governing ObamaCare. McConnell called the stack a “monument to liberalism,” and warned, “if you think that’s bad – just wait till they try to fix it.” McConnell called ObamaCare a “disaster,” and noted that every single Republican in the U.S. Senate voted to defund ObamaCare, while every Democrat voted to keep it. He pledged to continue working to oppose and repeal ObamaCare.
