Former FBI Director Robert Mueller Named as Special Counsel to take over Russia Investigation – Video Report 5/17/17

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has appointed a Special Counsel to conduct the investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 Election, and whether there was collusion between the Trump Campaign and the Russians.

Former FBI Director Robert Mueller has been named as the Special Counsel and will have broad powers to conduct the investigation. The move comes as a mounting cloud of uncertainly has enveloped the Trump White House as the Leftist media conducts an all-out assault on the Trump Presidency with one unnamed source story after another.

This will be disastrous if Mueller does what many Special Prosecutors do – go on fishing expeditions to find someone to indict whether it is actually warranted or not (such as the ridiculous Valerie Plame investigation that ended with Scooter Libby going to prison). But if Mueller sticks to the main issues and finds there was no collusion between the Trump Campaign and Russia, it will be the end of the Left’s smear campaign against Trump – at least this one. There’s no way to know which way it will go at this point. More than likely, it will end up with someone being prosecuted for something because that’s how these things usually play out. We’ll see.
