FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe Abruptly Resigns; Is it Tied to the House Intel Memo? – Video 1/29/18

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, a close ally of former Director James Comey, has abruptly resigned effective today. He was slated to retire in March, but suddenly left today. It appears FBI Director Christopher Wray was going to demote McCabe after going to Capitol Hill yesterday to view the House Intelligence Committee’s Memo expected to soon be released.

This may portend what is in the Memo. It may show something about McCabe’s actions that Wray felt compelled to act before its release. Rather than be demoted for his remaining time at the FBI, McCabe very well may have decided to resign and use his accrued vacation time until his retirement date.
