Trump Signs Bi-Partisan Bill to Reopen Government; Funds Military for Two Years – 2/9/18

The U.S. House approved a new spending bill to reopen the U.S. Government early this morning, just hours after Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul single-handedly shut down the Government by using a parliamentary maneuver to keep a bipartisan bill from being voted on until after midnight.

The bill funds the Government through March 23, but provides funding for the U.S. Military for the next two years! It also provides $89 Billion in Disaster Relief.

This had to be passed because it is way past time to fund our Military. Whatever measures need to be taken to cut spending, you can’t do it any longer on the backs of our troops.
