Several key alleged perpetrators of the September 11 attacks that killed nearly 3,000 Americans were finally arraigned during a hearing at Guantanamo Bay. The defendants included 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Muhammed. Family members of 9/11 victims were allowed to watch the proceedings from various bases along the East Coast of the U.S. The defendants reportedly refused to cooperate with the military judge, not answering his questions and refusing to listen to Arabic translation of what was being said. At times they reportedly knelt and prayed rather than pay attention to the court.
Here is video of the Washington Post’s Charles Lane on the Fox News Sunday Panel where he said it is amazing that Republicans in Iowa are on the verge of giving a victory to Ron Paul – whom Lane said has the Foreign Policy views of “Jeremiah Wright” when it comes to 9/11 – blaming the United States.
Lane said that Paul would not be the GOP Nominee, even if he wins in Iowa, and that a Paul victory with Romney second would actually be a win for Romney. Lane believes losing to Ron Paul would be devastating for Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum, who have staked their entire campaigns on Iowa.
Here is audio of conservative radio host Mark Levin blasting Ron Paul for saying there was “glee” in the George W. Bush Administration following the September 11 Attacks on the United States.
Paul made the comments Thursday night, saying the “glee” was because they wanted to use it as a pretext for invading Iraq:
Levin called the remarks an “outrageous smear,” and said flatly that the remarks show that Ron Paul is “a crackpot.”
Here is audio of Rush Limbaugh today blasting President Obama for trying to turn September 11 into a “day of service.” Limbaugh took Obama to task for going to a D.C. area “soup kitchen” in observance of 9/11. He pointed out that the 9/11 hijackers were wealthy, not poor, and that they attacked America, not just because of our freedoms, but because most Americans are not “Muslims.”
Here is video of former President George W. Bush today at the Ground Zero 9/11 10th Anniversary ceremony reading a letter President Abraham Lincoln wrote to a widow who lost five sons during the Civil War.
Former President George W. Bush speaks at the Flight 93 memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The memorial is dedicated to the 40 passengers and crew who courageously fought back against their hijackers on September 11, 2001.
