Here is the video from Monday Night’s BCS National Championship Game that has the Sports World – and the Twitter World – abuzz. It’s not from Alabama’s trouncing of Notre Dame to win their second straight National Championship – and third in four years. It’s when announcer Brent Musburger complimented Alabama Quarterback A.J. McCarron’s girlfriend. As the camera zoomed in on her, Musburger complimented her about how beautiful she is. ESPN actually apologized for the remarks yesterday, even though the girlfriend – Katherine Webb – said she was flattered by it.

Interesting to note that in the wake of the remarks, Webb’s Twitter account has apparently gone from 2,000 “Followers” to more than 200,000 “Followers.”

Below is the priceless reaction of QB A.J. McCarron after being told of his girlfriend’s newfound fame:

Here is Naked Emperor News video of the Rev. Al Sharpton speaking at a rally in Alabama back in July in which he essentially said African-American candidate Johnny Ford should win his State Senate Primary runoff against a white candidate – Billy Beasley – because the district is “heir property” to African-Americans.

Sharpton, for all his talk of wanting equality, actually uses “race” as a cottage industry for himself. It is impossible to square these comments with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s dream that people would someday be “judged by the content of their character” and not the “color of their skin.”

The voters did not agree with Sharpton. Beasley defeated Ford in the Democratic Primary runoff for the District 28 State Senate Seat by getting 62% of the vote.

Here is an amazing ad by GOP Candidate for Congress Les Phillip, who is running against incumbent Democrat Parker Griffith in Alabama’s 5th Congressional District. In the ad, he masterfully goes over the head of his Democrat opponent and frames the election as a race to stop President Obama from destroying our nation. This ad could become the template for many of the House races in strongly conservative areas of the country. It will have incumbent Blue Dog Democrats quaking in their boots:

“This is the story of two young men: One fell in with left-wing radicals, the other emigrated to America. While one played with terrorists and allowed an America-hating pastor to baptize his children, the other joined the Navy to defend his country.

I love America, but President Obama is ashamed of it. I’m going to Congress to help stop him from destroying our nation – and they’re not going to call me a racist. I’m Les Phillips, and I took an oath to defend this country against all enemies foreign and domestic – And I approved this message.”
