As Sen. John Kerry ended his confirmation hearing to be the next Secretary of State, he was interrupted by an anti-war heckler. Poetic justice for a man who was an anti-Vietnam War protester himself.
An Iraq war protester throws his shoes at former Australian Prime Minister John Howard during a televised Q&A where he defended his decision to send Australian troops to Iraq.
Tony Blair Greeted by Raucus Anti-War Protesters at Book-Signing in Dublin
Blair Greets Patrons Inside Bookstore
Here is video of anti-war protesters in Dublin, Ireland protesting the arrival of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair at a bookstore there for the first book-signing of his new memoir. The radical protesters shouted “shame” at Blair, and reportedly also threw “shoes and eggs” at him, although they failed to hit him.
The second video shows Blair after he entered the bookstore, where he greeted those inside with, “Sorry I brought that with me” – referring to the protesters outside.
Here is a video report on Michigan Democrat Sen. Carl Levin being hit with an apple pie in the face by a woman who says she wanted to send a message to Democrats and liberals that they don’t get a pass on support of war efforts.
“Carl Levin is one of the most respected senators in Congress. People tend to blame the war on Republicans, but we wanted to target Levin today to send a message that liberals and Democrats are just as implicated in the violence as the Republicans.”
The attack occurred at a cafe in Big Rapids, Michigan, where Levin was holding a question and answer session. Witnesses said Levin reacted calmly, and said at least he got hit with “Michigan apples.”
I disagree with Carl Levin on most issues, but there is no place for this kind of behavior. Notice this was not a conservative who committed the act, it was someone on the far Left. But it’s conservatives who are always accused of being prone to violence.
