Middle East Expert Says We are Now Seeing “The Real Arab Spring” in Egypt – Video 7/1/13

Here is video of GOP Rep. Allen West talking about the unwillingness on the part of many in our Government to face-up to the threat posed by Radical Islam today. West even points out that we have totally misunderstood the “Arab Spring,” which is actually a takeover of Egypt and other nations by the radical Islamists, like Mohamed Morsi, who frequently reminds critics about his Election victory – “Elections have consequences.” West further pointed out that is the same rhetoric we hear frequently from Barack Obama to justify his policies.

Egyptian Protesters Throw Tomatoes, Shoes at Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s Motorcade; Chant, “Monica, Monica” – Video Report 7/16/12

Here is a video report on raids carried out by Egyptian Security Forces today against pro-democracy human rights groups in Egypt. Aren’t you impressed with the results of that “Arab Spring” urged on by Barack Obama!

CBS NEWS: Egyptian security forces stormed the offices of 10 human rights and pro-democracy groups on Thursday, including several based in the U.S., accused by the country’s military rulers of destabilizing security by fomenting protests with the help of foreign funding.

The raids on 17 offices throughout Egypt are part of the ruling generals’ attempt to blame “foreign hands” for the unrest that continues to roil Egypt since the 18-day revolt that ousted longtime leader Hosni Mubarak in February, but that activists say failed to topple his regime.

Among the offices ransacked were the U.S.-headquartered National Democratic Institute, Freedom House and the International Republican Institute, which is observing Egypt’s staggered parliamentary elections.

The Obama administration demanded Egyptian authorities immediately halt the raids on non-governmental organizations (NGOs), saying they are “inconsistent” with long-standing U.S-Egypt cooperation.

The U.S. State Department called on the Egyptian government “to immediately end the harassment of NGO staff, return all property and resolve this issue.” Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said the U.S. ambassador to Egypt and the top U.S. diplomat for the Middle East have spoken to Egyptian officials about the situation and “made very clear that this issue needs immediate attention.”

The raids on the NGOs were the first since Mubarak’s ouster, though Egyptian officials have been levying accusations for months that the civil society groups are serving a foreign agenda. . . . Read More

(Fox News) CAIRO – Protesters broke into the Israeli Embassy in Cairo Friday and dumped documents out of the windows as hundreds more demonstrated outside, prompting the ambassador to rush to the airport to leave. The unrest was a further worsening of already deteriorating ties between Israel and post-Hosni Mubarak Egypt.

Egyptian police made no attempt to intervene during the day as crowds of hundreds tore down an embassy security wall with sledgehammers and their bare hands or after nightfall when about 30 protesters stormed into the Nile-side high-rise building where the embassy is located.
