Two new polls on the 2012 GOP Presidential Nomination race show Gov. Mitt Romney leading the field – although by very different margins.
An ABC News/Washington Post poll has Romney up by 10-points over his nearest rival, Sarah Palin, by a 26%-16% margin. Michele Bachmann runs third at 13%, with Rick Perry in fourth at 8%:

A poll out by The Economist/YouGov has Romney ahead – but by only 1-point over Sarah Palin, 14%-13%. Essentially tied with them at the top are Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry at 12%.

Once again, in both polls, you see Gov. Tim Pawlenty mired near the bottom at only 2%. Herman Cain continues to run fairly strong in both polls, at 7% and 9% respectively.
