You’ve probably noticed, but gas prices are going up, and in a hurry. This video report links the sharp rise to a refinery fire near San Francisco, and the drop in the number of refineries in the U.S. over the past decade.
Barack Obama took a swipe at Newt Gingrich in a recent speech, telling his audience not to listen to people who say The United States can become energy independent by “drilling our way out of the problem. He shouldn’t have done that.
That has prompted this new ad from Newt Gingrich that shows Barack Obama bowing and scraping to the King of Saudi Arabia. Republicans – whoever is the nominee – need to run ads showing this from now to Election Day, November 6.
Here is a new ad by Newt Gingrich that stakes out the ground of bringing back $2.50 a gallon gasoline as the centerpiece of his campaign. In fact, Gingrich says that America can become the “largest oil producer in the world by the end of this decade – bigger than Russia, bigger than Saudi Arabia. We have vastly more resources than any other country in the world – if we use them.”
This is a message that could really gain some traction for Newt in the contests ahead, IF he has enough resources to get this message out on television.
Here is audio/video of Democrats in 2008 relentlessly attacking President George W. Bush over rising gas prices. Now that Barack Obama is President – and gas prices have doubled under his watch – there’s nothing that can be done about it. The hypocrisy of the Democrats is stunning, and the liberal media is working with them. During the Bush Presidency, the media constantly talked about the pain of consumers having to buy gasoline. But, now, the media is virtually silent. They have barely even mentioned Obama’s decision to kill the Kestone Pipeline that would have brought oil from Canada to U.S. Refineries.
Another good job by the Republican National Committee!
Here is a new brief RNC web ad that uses video of Barack Obama “singing the blues” at the White House to show how drastically gas prices have risen under Barack Obama’s radical energy policy. The ad says Obama “has America singin’ the blues!”
Are you ready for $5 gasoline?
It appears to be headed for a pump near you, thanks to Barack Obama’s energy policy controlled by the radical Left. If this happens, how do you think Obama’s rejection of the Keystone Pipeline will go over with voters? Interesting that the liberal media never utters a word about Obama’s rejection of the Keystone Pipeline.
Here is a video report from ABC News focused on bashing “Big Oil,” and talking to House Speaker John Boehner. Of course, not a word was spoken about the need to “drill here, drill now” to deal with our long-term energy independence. Boehner did speak up and say that President Obama will “certainly not win” re-election next year if gas prices are at $5 or $6 a gallon.
Here is video of the Fox & Friends team talking to Donald Trump by phone this morning. Trump said President Obama should be focused on OPEC in light of high gas prices instead of just talking about the oil companies. He also said we need to be drilling domestically and do everything necessary to get oil prices back down to $40-$60 a barrel. Trump said “we will never come back” with gas prices as high as they are now.
Trump responded to criticism by actor Robert De Niro for his calling on President Obama to release his long-form Birth Certificate. Trump said De Niro is a great actor, but is “not the brightest bulb on the planet. . . . We’re not dealing with Albert Einstein.” Trump said there are many Americans who want answers from Obama on the Birth Certificate issue.
On Franklin Graham, Trump said he absolutely loved Graham’s interview Sunday on “This Week” with Christiane Amanpour. Trump said even leaving aside Graham’s kind comments about Trump, he believes it was a “brilliant interview” that almost should be “mandatory” to watch! Trump said he has great respect for both Franklin Graham and his father Billy Graham, noting that he used to often watch Billy Graham with his own father.
