“Do you want a sip of my soda?!”
Here is video of Jason Mattera managing to approach New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and ask him why, “in the spirit of Gun Control,” won’t he agree to have his security detail disarm, since he wants American citizens to be disarmed.
As you might expect, it did not go over well!
Here is video of CNN’s John King scolding Human Events Editor Jason Mattera for his pointed questioning of Vice-President Joe Biden recently, that took place in the Hart Senate Office Building. Mattera was reportedly wearing his media badge, and asked Biden for a photo before asking him pointedly about his recent comments that “rape” and other crimes would increase if Obama’s “Jobs Plan” was not passed by Congress.
King scolds Mattera for “misrepresenting” himself to get access. But Mattera defended himself ably by pointing out that liberal icons like CBS News’ Mike Wallace won awards for his “ambush journalism,” something King really had no answer for.
The bottom line is that the media is all for ambush journalism when it’s a liberal ambushing a conservative. But when the shoe is on the other foot – it’s a scandal. Mattera has become the best there is at what the liberals used to think was a tactic they owned exclusively. That has really gotten under their skin!
(The Hill) – Joe Biden’s office has complained to the Senate press gallery about a confrontation the vice president had with a conservative journalist last week on Capitol Hill.
Biden aides asked whether Senate rules were broken in the wake of the contentious exchange between the vice president and the reporter.
Jason Mattera, who works for Human Events, a conservative magazine, used a pretext to catch Biden off guard in a Senate hallway and grill him on claims the vice president has made about jobs legislation.
Biden’s office has also contacted the standing committee of correspondents, which oversees the gallery, regarding whether Mattera broke the rules by ambushing him.
Vice President Joe Biden loses his cool when confronted about his rape reference by Human Events’ Jason Mattera:
(Human Events) – Vice President Joe Biden now says he didn’t make a reference to rape, and got testy with HUMAN EVENTS when we asked if he would like to retract his comments that the number of sexual assaults would increase if Republicans don’t sign on to Barack Obama’s latest “jobs” proposal.
“I didn’t use, no no no…Let’s get it straight, guy. Don’t screw around with me,” Biden lashed out at HUMAN EVENTS. Then Biden confirmed that he indeed did talk about rape in terms of the President’s spending measure. “Murder will continue to rise, rape will continue to rise, all crimes will continue to rise,” if the Democrats agenda isn’t passed, he added.
Here is video of Jason Mattera paying a visit to avowed Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders at his book-signing. Mattera approaches Sanders and asks him to sign a copy of his book, making it out to “Capitalism – the greatest economic system on earth.” Mattera also asks Sanders, “How does an avowed socialist sell a book?”
Here is video of a Human Events interview by Jason Mattera with former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton on the subject of Afghanistan. Bolton says bluntly that if we pursue the policy of President Obama to begin pulling troops out of Afghanistan by July 2011, “We will fail in Afghanistan.”
Bolton said our policy in Afghanistan should be focused on the destruction of The Taliban and Al-Qaeda in both Afghanistan and Pakistan – not on improving the everyday lives of Afghans. Bolton said the best way to improve the lives of Afghans is to free them from the radical Islamic ideology of The Taliban and Al-Qaeda.
His view is that victory over The Taliban and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan will require a long, sustained effort that will far exceed Obama’s planned drawdown just a year away.
Here is video of Jason Mattera interviewing former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton for Human Events. Bolton said the United States has the capability to launch a pre-emptive strike on Iran’s Nuclear Facilities to prevent them for developing a Nuclear Weapon. Bolton also said he believes Arab Countries would support a strike on Iran to stop them from getting Nuclear Weapons. He even believes they would “privately welcome” an Israel attack on Iran.
Bolton indicated Israel is also capable of doing it, but that the United States could do it better.
