Here is Judge Andrew Napolitano saying that Sen. Marco Rubio has courage in pointing out the heart of the problem with Barack Obama: He simply does not believe in parts of the U.S. Constitution.
Napolitano was referring to Rubio’s blunt assessment that Obama just does not believe in the 2nd Amendment, but does not have the “guts” to just come out and say so.
Here is video of Judge Andrew Napolitano on Fox News last night where he praised Gov. Mitt Romney’s strong statement on the Obama Administration’s handling of the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, and said members of the media who are trashing Romney are doing so because they “don’t want him to get elected.”
Judge Napolitano has it exactly right here:
“I think the president is dangerously close to totalitarianism. A few months ago he was saying the Congress doesn’t count – the Congress doesn’t mean anything. I am going to rule by decree and by administrative regulation. Now he’s basically saying the Supreme Court doesn’t count. It doesn’t matter what they think. They can’t review our legislation. That would leave just him as the only branch of government standing. . . . This is an extreme view of the Supreme Court and the Constitution, one that has not been articulated since Andrew Jackson.”
Here is video of Judge Andrew Napolitano grilling former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld last night. From the outset of the interview, Napolitano peppered Rumsfeld with questions as if Rumsfeld was on trial for something. But Rumsfeld handled himself very well.
Several times, Rumsfeld told Napolitano that he was flat wrong about his assertions, including the bizarre question to Rumsfeld on whether he had helped Saddam Hussein acquire Weapons of Mass Destruction when he served as President Ronald Reagan’s Mideast Envoy. Rumsfeld was clearly floored at the question, and said to the Judge – “Absolutely not! Where would anyone think that? I’ve never heard that!” Rumsfeld reminded the Judge that Saddam had already used Chemical Weapons against Iran and against his own people before Rumsfeld had ever met with him.
Napolitano also questioned Rumsfeld on whether he had authorized “torture” of enemy combatants. Rumsfeld very forcefully let the Judge know that the U.S. Military never used waterboarding on any prisoners. He also reminded the Judge that the CIA waterboarded a grand total of three people.
Napolitano asked multiple questions about the Iraq War as well, including the ridiculous and over-used, “If you had known Saddam did not have WMD, would you have still supported the war?” Quite rightly, Rumsfeld slapped Napolitano down by reminding him that you can only make decisions in the moment, based on the information you have AT THAT TIME. It is pointless to ask what you would have done if you had known something you did not know.
Here is video of Judge Andrew Napolitano analyzing the decision by a U.S. Judge in Florida that ruled ObamaCare to be unconstitutional!
The Judge ruled that Congress exceeded their authority in requiring Americans to purchase Health Insurance – and further ruled that the whole thing must be thrown out because it all hangs together.
This will eventually be decided in the Supreme Court. But this is another blow to Obama and the Democrats.
Here is video of Judge Andrew Napolitano confronting liberal Arianna Huffington about why she switched from a conservative to become a strong liberal advocate. Napolitano said to Huffington:
“You made your name as a Conservative Republican and now you want the Government to do for people what they can’t do for themselves. How can anybody take you seriously?”
Huffington said Napolitano and others are not understanding her views, because she believes there should be “a proper Capitalist System.”
