Breitbart.com continues to connect the dots between the man elected as President of the United States – Barack Obama – and a radical Harvard Professor he urged people to “open your minds, open your hearts” to. The Professor was the late Derrick Bell, and yesterday, Breitbart.com released little seen video of a young Barack Obama speaking publicly for him, urging people to listen to him, and actually embracing him. Now, they reveal that Derrick Bell praised Nation of Islam leader, Louis Farrakhan:
THE NEW REPUBLIC: . . . The stories in Faces at the Bottom of the Well all revolve around Bell’s bedrock belief that the fundamental reality of America is race, and that whites will never willingly diminish their privileged position. In “The Afrolantica Awakening” Bell luxuriates in the fantasy of black immigration to an Edenic homeland–a permanent solution to the problem of racial injustice. In “Space Traders” Bell considers emigration in its negative form, as exile. In this tale a group of spacemen arrives on Earth offering the devil’s bargain: in exchange for vast stores of gold and magic solutions to the problems of energy and pollution, they will be permitted to take away, for an unspecified purpose, all of America’s black people. Black Armageddon, in other words, is posed against white deliverance. Unsurprisingly, after token and largely self-interested opposition, Americans agree to sell black people back into slavery.
There is one passage in Faces that comes across as menacing and ugly. In “The Rules of Racial Standing,” which is not a story but an angry lecture. Bell defends Louis Farrakhan. “Smart and superarticulate,” writes Bell, “Minister Farrakhan is perhaps the best living example of a black man ready, willing and able to ‘tell it like it is’ regarding who is responsible for racism in this country.” Arid yet because he offends white people, “every black person important enough to be interviewed is asked to condemn Minister Farrakhan–or any other truly outspoken black leader.” Black people who comply are rewarded with “superstanding status.”
Bell’s defense of Farrakhan has drawn a withering response from other black intellectuals. In the current issue of Reconstruction, Kennedy accuses Bell of “an egregious toleration of bigotry.” Bell, he writes, refuses to see “that the minister is an unreconstructed bigot and, worse, that a substantial and widespread sector of black Americans are willing either to applaud or to ignore his bigotry.” Gates says, “How can you call yourself an intellectual and not find anti-Semitism nauseating?”. . . Here is audio of Rush Limbaugh playing clips of “Calypso Louie”, as he calls him – Louis Farrakhan – criticizing President Barack Obama for going after Libyan Dictator Moammar Gadhafi. Obama’s longtime pastor, Jeremiah Wright, is close to Farrakhan and actually praised Gadhafi in years past.
Here is video of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan speaking in Harlem recently where he said Fort Hood mass shooter Nidal Malik Hasan is “not a terrorist,” but instead accused U.S. Soldiers of being murderers, rapists and “terrorists.” Farrakhan actually said Hasan was just a good Muslim striking back at “terrorists” he debriefed – meaning the U.S. Military.
The truth is, the American Solider is of all people, “one of the world’s noblest figures,” as General Douglas MacArthur said to West Point Cadets in his famous, “Duty, Honor, Country” Speech (below) :
That’s the right description of the American Solider. The U.S. Soldiers condemned as “terrorists” by Louis Farrahkan have spent years of their lives seeking to bring freedom and hope to millions of people in Iraq and Afghanistan. They have defended Muslim people there against the vicious and brutal Taliban and Al-Qaeda oppressors. His vicious attacks are ironic when you consider that Muslim women in those nations are brutalized on a regular basis – not by American Soldiers – but by their own Muslim men who think they have a right to do so under Sharia Law.
I agree with MacArthur – the American Soldier is one of the “world’s noblest figures.”
And Louis Farrahkan – how will he be remembered when all is said and done? Somehow the word “noble” does not come to mind.
NOTE:Commenter “JB” correctly points out that I misquoted Farrakhan on who is not happy with how Obama dealt with Mubarak. I had understood him to mean that people in Africa and throughout the world were unhappy with him. But his point is that Obama is letting people who are unhappy with how he handled Mubarak push him into taking on Gadhafi. Thanks for the clarification.
Here is video of bizarre Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan blasting President Obama for his handling of the crisis in Libya. Farrakhan warned Obama not to let others move him in a direction that will ruin his future with“your people in Africa and throughout the world.”
“Who the hell do you think you are, that you think you can talk to a man who built a country over 42 years and ask him to step down and get out? Can anybody ask you – well, there’s a lot now gonna ask you to step out of the White House because they don’t want no black face in the White House. Be careful brother how you handle this situation because it is coming to America and it’s already started. Look at Wisconsin. Look at Ohio. Look at what’s going on in your country, and remember your words, because the American people are rising against their own Government. It’s not Muslims. It’s not black people. It’s white militia that are angry with their Government and they are well-armed. Are you going to tell them “put your arms down, and let’s talk it over peacefully?” I hope so. But if not, America will be bathed in blood. . . “
Now we just need Obama’s Pastor for more than 20 years – Jeremiah Wright – to weigh in.
Here is shocking audio (I guess we shouldn’t be) from New Black Panther Leader Malik Shabazz saying on a radio show that he met privately with Iran’s thug President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and that he is working to “build alliances” that will enable him to “build a nation right here in America.”
“How can you forget in 2010 when we met with the A-Man from Iran. . . . . There will be more to that . . . . Securing the minerals, the gas, the oil, the means of trade, the food to build a nation right here in America.”
Shabazz reportedly met with Ahmadinejad along with Louis Farrakhan back in September while the “A-Man” was visiting the United Nations in New York.
You won’t hear a word about this in the “Mainstream Media,” even as they continue to push the meme that the Tea Party Movement is a threat to America.
