What a great Christmas gift for Hammar, his family, and all Americans!
Below, via Gateway Pundit, is video of Bill O’Reilly slamming most of the liberal media for doing nothing to help secure the release of Jon Hammar:
BREAKING: Fox News is just now reporting that the mother of U.S. Marine Jon Hammar is being released from a Mexican Prison and headed home!!! Kudos to Fox News, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and many others who took up Hammar’s cause and brought pressure to bear to get him home! Developing. . .

O’Reilly asks why Barack Obama has not secured the release of U.S. Marine Jon Hammar, held in a Mexican Prison:
O’Reilly asks Democrat Sen. Bill Nelson why Obama is not acting to free Hammar:
Last night, Bill O’Reilly continued to highlight the plight of U.S. Marine Jon Hammar, who is being held in a Mexican Prison for no reason. O’Reilly asked why President Barack Obama has not secured the release of Hammar, a veteran of both the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. Hammar has been in a Mexican Prison since August, chained to his bed for a good portion of that time.
O’Reilly asked Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson why Obama has not acted to free Hammar. Nelson was obviously uncomfortable with the question, and had no real answer, other than at one point saying Obama was very busy as President with other things. To his credit, Nelson has been working to secure the release of Hammar.
Today, O’Reilly called on Mexico to release Hammar by Christmas, or he said he will lead a national boycott against Mexico, calling on airlines not to fly there and Americans not to patronize Mexico.
With the pressure O’Reilly is putting on Obama and Mexico, let’s hope something happens before Christmas to bring about his release.
Here is video of Bill O’Reilly’s talking points tonight where he kept talking about the plight of U.S. Marine Jon Hammar, who is in a Mexican Prison on trumped up charges. O’Reilly said Mexico is “insulting every single American Citizen” with their treatment of Hammar. O’Reilly is calling on Mexico to release him immediately, and calling on U.S. Leaders to act on his behalf to free him.
This is a travesty, and President Barack Obama should personally do something about it.
Former U.S. Marine Jon Hammar is being held in a Mexican Prison, chained to his bed, while demands are made of his family to pay money to keep him safe. Hammar was jailed after he entered Mexico with an antique firearm that he had declared and been told he could enter the country with in his possession. But upon entry, he was jailed. This was last August. August! Where is President Obama in this? Hopefully, pressure that is finally building in some media circles in reporting this story will force his hand to do something about it. Let’s hope and pray he is home by Christmas.

Below is Florida Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson speaking on the Senate Floor yesterday about Jon Hammar’s captivity. He called on Mexico to release Hammar:
UPDATE: Here’s a CBS News report on Hammar that aired this morning:
The death and horrific violence from Mexican Drug Cartels continues.
This time near Monterrey, the mutilated bodies of 49 people were found dumped on a major highway in plastic garbage bags. The remains of 43 men and 6 women were found, with their hands, feet, and heads cut off. A note was found from a major drug gang claiming responsibility. As many as 48,000 people have been killed in Mexico as a result of drug violence since 2006.
Here is a devastating new Mitt Romney ad attacking Texas Gov. Rick Perry for supporting in-state tuition for the children of illegal aliens in Texas.
The ad first points out that Perry’s position puts him on the side of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama on the issue, and then it really lowers the boom. It features video of former Mexican President Vicente Fox praising Rick Perry for his position – for “giving access to Mexican migrants to universities in Texas.”
The Romney ad team has been beyond great so far, and one thing this demonstrates is that if Romney winds up winning the GOP Nomination, he will be prepared to go after Barack Obama in a very effective way when it comes to political ads – something the McCain Campaign was never willing to do. The Romney Campaign has a “mean, junk-yard dog” side to it, and that’s what you need, frankly, to win a General Election against a Democrat who is the darling of the media.
NOTE: The second video report was filed one hour before the execution took place.
BREAKING: Fox News just announced that the state of Texas has executed convicted murderer Humberto Leal Garcia for the brutal kidnapping, rape and murder of a 16-year old girl in 1994. He was executed just after 6:00 PM by lethal injection in Huntsville, Texas. The Obama Administration had attempted to get a stay of execution for Garcia. But the U.S. Supreme Court rejected their plea by a 5-4 decision this afternoon, and Texas Gov. Rick Perry refused to halt the execution of Garcia – an illegal alien of Mexican citizenship. . . . . FORBES: A 38-year-old Mexican man has been executed in Texas for the rape-slaying of a San Antonio teenager after White House-backed appeals to spare him were rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Humberto Leal received lethal injection Thursday evening in Huntsville.
His punishment capped a flurry of appeals that argued he deserved additional court review of his case because authorities didn’t tell him he could seek legal help from the Mexican government when he was arrested for the murder of 16-year-old Adria Sauceda in 1994. . . . Read More
CNN: . . . Leal was pronounced dead at 6:21 p.m. CT (7:21 p.m. ET), according to a corrections spokeswoman.
“I am sorry for everything I have done,” Leal said before he was executed. “I have hurt a lot of people. Let this be final and be done. I take the full blame for this.”
Texas authorities said they gave Leal his last meal Thursday afternoon as hours dwindled before his scheduled execution. . . . Read More
Here is video of former Ambassador John Bolton speaking to the NRA today where he said that President Obama is “following the Mexican line” when it comes to the high amount of drug violence on the Mexican side of the U.S. Border. Bolton said Obama agrees that much of the violence is being caused by guns from the United States. Bolton refutes that as simply not accurate, and says Obama and other liberals are hoping to use this argument as a way to pass more gun control laws in the U.S. and internationally.
Here is a video report on the news that a Mexican Drug Cartel has allegedly put out a $1 Million Contract on Sheriff Joe Arpaio. The threat has come in the form of a text message sent to the phones of people, with the offer against Arpaio and urging people to pass the message along to others.
The threat is being taken seriously by authorities, and they believe the message did originate in Mexico.
Here are two ads put out by the Republican Party of Virginia. The ads focus on the behavior of Virginia Democrats Tom Perriello and Rick Boucher when Mexican President Felipe Calderon spoke to a Joint Session of Congress and advocated for reinstating the Assault Weapons Ban. He did so under the false statement that most of the assault weapons in Mexico are coming from the United States.
The ads point out that Congressional Democrats “couldn’t get to their feet fast enough” to applaud Calderon when he made his statement. The ads urge people to call Perriello or attend a Boucher Town Hall Meeting and ask them if they stood up for Calderon, or if they stand up for the Second Amendment.

President Obama has ordered 1,200 National Guard troops be sent to help secure the U.S. border with Mexico. He will also request $500 million be allocated for securing the border.
You think the pressure from the new Arizona law has anything to do with this decision?
