You have to love Newt Gingrich when ho runs circles around Leftists like Piers Morgan. Here he is talking about the only subject Piers Morgan discusses these days – banning guns – and he cuts right to the heart of the matter. Gingrich challenges Morgan, who is always thinking about what he’s going to repeat next, to have hearings on Gun Control in Chicago – the murder capitol of the USA, even though it has some of the strictest Gun Control laws. Morgan did not even attempt an answer. He just kept repeating his Gun grab talking points all through the “interview.”
Newt Gingrich on Piers Morgan’s Gun Grab Talking Points: “This is Lovely Propaganda. . . . Why is it the People who are for Gun Control Don’t want to Go to Chicago to Find Out why Gun Control has Failed So Miserably?” – Video 1/25/13
Heaven forbid we let common sense be a part of the whole “Gun Control” discussion. Newt Gingrich hits the nail on the head:
“The President’s hometown, Chicago, is the murder capital of the United States. Over 500 people were killed there last year. Vice-President Biden doesn’t seem to want to go there. I’m trying to get the House Republicans to hold hearings there. It’s illegal to have all the guns that are killing people in Chicago. If gun control works, Chicago ought to be safe.”
Yet, despite this obvious truth, not a single member of the White House Press Corps will ask Barack Obama about why Chicago is the murder capital of the U.S. if gun control works.

Here is video of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on “Meet the Press” yesterday where he said if Hillary Clinton is the 2016 Democratic Candidate for President, “the Republican Party of today is incapable of competing at that level.”
Gingrich went on to say that the GOP must start by not conceding 47% of the electorate to the Democrats, though he qualified that by saying he was not blaming Mitt Romney entirely for the 2012 Presidential defeat:
“I think this is much more than Mitt Romney. We didn’t blow it because of Mitt Romney. We blew it because of a party which has refused to engage the reality of American life and refused to think through what the average American needs for a better future.”

Here is video of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on “Hannity” last night where he called President Obama a “hardline Left-winger.” Gingrich said Obama is treating Republicans with “a level of disdain and arrogance that I think is breathtaking.” Gingrich was reacting to the laughable proposal Obama sent to Republicans on the “Fiscal Cliff” negotiations.
Gingrich said Republicans should walk away and tell Obama when he is ready to send up a serious proposal, they will consider it.
“I think Republicans have got to understand – they are not going to get any good deal from Barack Obama. He has contempt for them. He shows that contempt on a regular basis. He’s a hardline Left-winger. . . “

Here is video of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on “Morning Joe” today where he talked about the importance of the Republican Party dealing with the issue of immigration. Gingrich reflected on being attacked during the GOP Nomination battle for speaking up in favor making a way for illegals who have been in the United States for a long time to be able to stay. He said he remembers thinking, as he was being attacked for his position, “How is that going to look in a 30-second ad this Fall?” Gingrich pointed out the GOP has lost the Asian-American vote over the last 12 years, as well as most Latino votes, largely because of immigration.
Gingrich also talked about his new book, “Victory at Yorktown.”

Newt Gingrich on “CBS This Morning” today said he said Vice-President Joe Biden’s remarks Benghazi last night will “haunt” President Obama into the next debate. Biden denied that he or President Obama had any idea it was a terrorist attack in the days following the 9/11 attack that killed four Americans. For days they tried to pass it off as a spontaneous protest over an anti-Islamic video gone bad. His remarks are in direct conflict with the sworn testimony of the State Department who said they never believed it was anything other than a terrorist attack.

Here is video of Newt Gingrich on with Greta Van Susteren last night, where he aptly described the Presidency of Barack Obama.
Gingrich described Obama’s Presidency as like a “Vaudeville Act,” and called Obama the “Entertainer-in-Chief.” He was specifically reacting to Obama’s going on David Letterman and doing fundraisers with Jay Z and Beyonce this week, but not having time for Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Here is video of Newt Gingrich on “Meet the Press” yesterday powerfully pointing out the bias in the media against Republicans on the issue of abortion. Gingrich pointed out that it is the Democrats who have “the most extreme” position on abortion in their party platform, supporting taxpayer-funded abortions even in the eight and ninth month of pregnancy. He reminded the liberal panel that President Obama “voted three times” in Illinois to “protect the right of doctors to kill babies who came out of an abortion still alive.” Yet, Gingrich said the media never talks about the extreme position Democrats have taken, and instead constantly seek to demonize Republicans on the issue.
The New York Times’ Thomas Freidman then proceeded to illustrate the very bias Gingrich had just spoken of. He said flat out, “I’m a Planned Parenthood Democrat,” who supports the view on abortion adopted by Democrats, before later reminding everyone he is “a journalist.”

Here is video of former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich on with Larry Kudlow where he weighed in on President Barack Obama’s revealing “You didn’t build that” remark. Gingrich said it will “go down in history” as one of those defining moments, because it revealed Obama as a “Saul Alinsky, Bill Ayers radical” that he is. Gingrich praised Mitt Romney’s Campaign for taking the statement building an entire “I built it” movement in contrast to what Obama said.

Here is video of Newt Gingrich in an extensive interview with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews tonight. Gingrich told a contentious Chris Matthews that “Mitt Romney is a lot like (President Dwight D.) Eisenhower – He is a very good organizer. He is a very methodical person. He is prepared to systematically do what he thinks is right for the country, and I think he might turn out to make a surprisingly good President.”
Chris Matthews was his usual unhinged self throughout the interview, talking over Gingrich constantly and trotting out every liberal attack he could possibly level at Republicans. But Gingrich made it clear that though he felt he would have been a far better candidate than Romney for the GOP that when compared to Obama, Romney is far superior.

(MSNBC) — Newt Gingrich finally ended his presidential bid on Wednesday at a hotel just outside of the nation’s capital, where he once led the Republican Party in Congress.
After a week of broadcasting his intent to suspend his campaign — including the release of a video earlier this week thanking supporters and previewing the announcement — Gingrich formally ended his bid for the Republican presidential nomination at an event his campaign had billed as a “press conference to announce suspension of campaign.”
“Today, I’m suspending the campaign but suspending the campaign does not mean suspending citizenship. Callista and I are committed to be active citizens. We owe it to America. We owe it to Maggie and Robert,” Gingrich said, referring to his only two grandchildren, here in his home state of Virginia.
