Here is video of President Barack Hussein Obama being officially sworn-in for a second term as President of the United States. Obama took the Oath of Office as proscribed by the U.S. Constitution today, January 20, and will take the Oath again tomorrow at the public ceremony at the U.S. Capitol. Obama was sworn-in today in the Blue Room of the White House by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court John Roberts. Here is a Voice of America report on the significance of Presidential Inaugurations. President Barack Obama will officially begin his 2nd Term as President today as 12 Noon, when he takes the Oath of Office as proscribed by the U.S. Constitution on January 20. He will do so at the White House today. But because Inauguration Day falls on Sunday this year, the public ceremony at the U.S. Capitol will take place tomorrow, January 21, 2013. Obama will repeated the swearing-in tomorrow as 12 Noon ET.
Here is video of the Jimmy Kimmel Show going out on the street with a “Lie Witness News” segment where they asked people if they enjoyed the Presidential Inauguration “yesterday.” Of course, it has not yet taken place! But that did not keep people from saying how awesome they thought it was!
Here is a video ad from President Barack Obama’s Inaugural Committee encouraging people to take part in Obama’s Inauguration to a 2nd Term as President. The official inauguration will take place on January 21, 2013, because January 20 falls on a Sunday this year. Obama will take the oath on the 20th as proscribed by the U.S. Constitution, and will do so again at the public ceremony at the U.S. Capitol on January 21.
It’s interesting that this ad features Obama speaking at his first Inauguration in 2009, calling for a “new era of responsibility!” In his first term as President, Barack Obama has added $5.8 Trillion of debt to the National Debt, and just pushed through a “Fiscal Cliff” Deal that will add another $4 Trillion over the next 10 years! I’m sure that’s just for starters. We have much to look forward to as Obama continues this “new era of responsibility.”
