Here is video of President Barack Obama making his historic first visit by a U.S. President to the nation of Burma. This video shows Obama visiting renowned Democracy Opposition Leader Aung San Suu Kyi (Pronounced – Ahng Sahn Soo Chee). Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was also along for the visit.
Here is video of ABC News’ Jake Tapper assessing President Obama’s overseas trip to Asia and the G20 Summit as, “three strikes.” He details how Obama has failed at virtually every turn, including:
1. Failure to convince South Koreans to open their markets to American beef and cars – At stake: $10 Billion in exports and 70,000 American jobs.
2. Failure to get Chinese President to change currency policies which artificially build up the dollar and hold down the Chinese currency. This keeps it far cheaper to manufacture in China.
3. Failure to get other G20 leaders to use stronger language against China’s currency manipulation.
Here is how Obama defended his trip:
“Instead of hitting home runs, sometimes we’re going to hit singles. But they are really important singles.”
Here is video of President Obama speaking in Mumbai, India where he said, “We will never forget” the terror attack that occurred there on “26/11”, referring to November 26, 2008, when armed terrorists launched attacks across the city of Mumbai that killed 173 people.
Interestingly, Obama made no mention of the Fort Hood Terror attack that occurred one year ago yesterday (November 5, 2009) at Fort Hood, Texas, in which Major Nidal Malik Hasan killed 13 people. Records indicate Hasan had been in email contact with Anwar al-Awlaki, the main force behind Al-Qaeda Arabian Peninsula. As he committed the shootings, Hasan reportedly yelled, “Allahu Akhbar.”
The fact Obama issued no statement (as far as I can find) yesterday indicates he continues to be unwilling to call the Fort Hood Attack an act of Terrorism. The attacks in India, and the attack at Fort Hood were committed by people of the same ilk – Radical Islamic Jihadists.
