Though it does not appear anyone is ready to challenge Barack Obama for the 2012 Democrat Presidential Nomination, a new poll indicates more than 1 in 4 Democrats want to throw Obama over the side and find a different nominee for their party:
WASHINGTON EXAMINER: A new poll by CNN and ORC International finds that 27 percent of Democrats would like to see their party nominate a candidate other than Barack Obama for president in 2012.
In response to the question, “Do you think the Democratic party should renominate Barack Obama as the party’s candidate for president in 2012, or do you think the Democratic party should nominate a different candidate for president in 2012?” — 72 percent said they wanted to see Obama renominated. But 27 percent, slightly more than one in every four, said they wanted to see Democrats nominate a different candidate. One percent had no opinion. . . . Read More
Here is video of President Obama speaking to a group of Muslims at the White House tonight, where he defended Islam, and inserted himself into the issue of whether a Mosque should be built near Ground Zero – where nearly 3,000 Americans were killed at the hands of Muslim terrorists. Obama defended the right of the mosque to be built, completely ignoring the propriety of it being built so close to where the attack occurred, and also ignoring the questions of where the money for the mosque is coming from. The Imam behind the Ground Zero Mosque has made statements attacking the United States in the past, and his sources of funding for the project are unknown.
But Obama did here what you would expect from him. He sided with the radicals, as he has done time and time again over his career. His radical associations were all but ignored by the media during the 2008 campaign, and sadly by too many of the American people.
What Americans must come to grips with is that Barack Obama does not only associate with radicals – he is a radical. He has been, and will continue to be, on the wrong side of every major issue facing the nation. Only the American people can say – enough! It must happen this Fall, and in 2012.
Here is video of White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs giving an answer that mocks and insults Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl about his assertion that President Obama told him in a one-on-one meeting that he would not secure the border because “you guys” (Republicans) won’t support Comprehensive Immigration Reform if we do.
Gibbs has said Obama never made the statement, while Kyl has steadfastly stood by his account. Gibbbs tried to make out like Kyl had retreated from his assertion, and mocked Kyl for having three opinions on the matter. Actually, Kyl only said he meant that “the Left” is trying to hold border security “hostage” to CIR, not the President specifically. But Kyl has never retreated on Obama’s statement that he won’t secure the border because “you guys” won’t support CIR.
Actually, what Gibbs was doing here, was dodging the question.
Here is video of MSNBC’s Ed Schultz actually asking when Obama is “going to become a dictator on this” – referring to the Gulf Oil Spill and his dealings with BP. What kind of person even thinks to use the word “Dictator” in connection with the Presidency of the United States? Just imagine the hue and cry if any conservative had said that about George W. Bush?
Here is video of Karl Rove saying he does not believe the story put out by the White House and Rep. Joe Sestak to explain away the controversy over a “job offer” made to Sestak by the White House. Rove said it is “not plausible’ to believe the White House – through former President Bill Clinton – offered a non-paying appointment to an Executive Branch Policy Group when they knew that appointment would have to be approved by Congress. Sestak is a Congressman, and would be ineligible for such an appointment as a member of Congress. Rove said the White House, Bill Clinton and Sestak would all be aware of that fact.
In other words, Rove is saying they are covering up the real story. Something else was offered to Sestak, and they don’t want the truth to get out. That’s what Newt Gingrich said in a clip played in this video. Gingrich said their story is not believable, and that the White House must have reached out to Sestak and convinced him to “take the fall” to get them out of this trouble.
