Now Vice-President Joe Biden is suggesting that if Obama’s $447 Stimulus “Jobs Bill” is not passed, it will mean an increase in rape and robberies. He made the remarks in Philadelphia yesterday:
“The other thing I’ve hear from my friends who oppose this – this whole jobs bill – [is] that this is just temporary,” Biden said. . . Well let me tell you, it’s not temporary when that 911 call comes in and a woman’s being raped, if a cop shows up in time to prevent the rape. It’s not temporary to that woman. It’s not temporary to the guy whose store is being held up and there’s a gun pointed at his head, if a cop shows up and he’s not killed. That’s not temporary to that store owner. Give me a break! Temporary.”
Here is video of Herman Cain on CNN today where he told Candy Crowley that President Obama’s “millionaire’s tax” proposal is just a “distraction” to keep people from focusing on what is in his $400+ Billion “Son of Stimulus Jobs Bill” that Cain says is full of “sneak attaxes” – hidden taxes.
Cain said there are “84 sneak attaxes” in the bill that would impact “everybody.” Cain blasted Obama for “fanning the flames of class warfare” when he knows what he is proposing will do nothing to deal with the problems America is facing.
Yeah, surrrrrrre. Just like his first $887 Billion Stimulus Boondoggle “saved or created” so many jobs and prevented unemployment from rising above 8%! Why should we doubt him?!
USA TODAY: President Obama has attached a big number to his jobs bill: 1.9 million.
At a private fundraiser last night, Obama said his proposal would create 1.9 millions jobs, while reducing the 9.1% unemployment rate by a percentage point; he also said it would add two percentage points to the gross domestic product. . . . Read More
This was great thinking by GOP Rep. Louis Gohmert!!! I wonder why no Democrat was “Johnny-on-the-spot” to file Obama’s bill so it could be “passed right away?”
THE HILL: Texas GOP Rep. Louis Gohmert officially introduced the American Jobs Act of 2011 on Wednesday afternoon.
“My bill is not the president’s bill, it’s a real job creator,” Gohmert told The Hill, shortly after filing his two-page alternative to the president’s plan, under the same title.
Gohmert said that he read the president’s 155-page jobs plan, when it was emailed to lawmakers on Monday afternoon.
Calling the president’s plan a “disaster,” Gohmert said that he checked to see “who filed the ‘American Jobs Act’ for the president, here in the House, since we had to do it ‘now, right away,” but discovered that the plan had not been officially introduced in the House.
So, at 1:20pm Gohmert filed his own version of a jobs bill, under the title included on the president’s legislation distributed to members of Congress two-days prior.
The Texan lawmaker’s measure would eliminate the 35 percent corporate tax to spur job creation in the private sector. . . .
