President Obama spoke at two more fundraisers in Connecticut last night. But he was greeted by a sizable gathering of Tea Party Protesters along the way.

@markknoller: Back in DC, Pres Obama does another 2 fundraisers at a local hotel. Brings his number of fundraisers this cycle to 199.
The DNC has put out a new ad attacking Newt Gingrich as the “original tea partier” with “three decades of tea party politics.” – As if that’s a bad thing.
Here is video of Herman Cain responding to actor Morgan Freeman’s attack on the Tea Party as being composed of a bunch of racists who just want to “get this black man” out of the White House.
Cain simply pointed out that it is doubtful Freeman has ever even been to a Tea Party – a nice way of saying he’s ignorant of the facts. Cain told Neil Cavuto he is not offended by Freeman, but that it’s “sad” that someone would attack people without knowing what the reality is on the ground.
Below is video of Freeman’s attack:
Here is video of MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough this morning saying President Obama should call out Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa Jr. for violent rhetoric yesterday when he urged to crowd, “Let’s take these son of a bitches out” – referring to the Tea Party and Congressional Republicans.
So far, the Obama White House has not disavowed Hoffa’s statement.
Speaking today at a Labor Day Rally in Detroit just ahead of President Obama, Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa said unions are “at war” with the Tea Party and Congressional Republicans, and that “the workers of Michigan and America” are going to win that war. He shouted to the crowd, “Let’s take these sons of bitches out and take America back to where America belongs.”
These are the soldiers for Obama’s re-election committed to that “more civil” tone he is always lecturing everyone about.
GOP presidential candidate Sen. Rick Santorum reacts to Rep. Maxine Waters saying the Tea Party “can go straight to hell.” Santorum blasted Waters as “vile” and said the comment didn’t really surprise him because she’s always been “one of these real nasty anti-basic traditional and fundamental values of this country.”
Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters demonstrates the “new tone” on the Left by saying the tea party can “go straight to hell.” The comment was met with cheers from the audience, including some wearing their purple SEIU T-shirts.
