Connecticut Protest by speakmymind01
President Obama spoke at two more fundraisers in Connecticut last night. But he was greeted by a sizable gathering of Tea Party Protesters along the way.

@markknoller: Back in DC, Pres Obama does another 2 fundraisers at a local hotel. Brings his number of fundraisers this cycle to 199.
The DNC has put out a new ad attacking Newt Gingrich as the “original tea partier” with “three decades of tea party politics.” – As if that’s a bad thing.
Here is video of Herman Cain responding to actor Morgan Freeman’s attack on the Tea Party as being composed of a bunch of racists who just want to “get this black man” out of the White House.
Cain simply pointed out that it is doubtful Freeman has ever even been to a Tea Party – a nice way of saying he’s ignorant of the facts. Cain told Neil Cavuto he is not offended by Freeman, but that it’s “sad” that someone would attack people without knowing what the reality is on the ground.
Below is video of Freeman’s attack:
Here is video of MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough this morning saying President Obama should call out Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa Jr. for violent rhetoric yesterday when he urged to crowd, “Let’s take these son of a bitches out” – referring to the Tea Party and Congressional Republicans.
So far, the Obama White House has not disavowed Hoffa’s statement.
Speaking today at a Labor Day Rally in Detroit just ahead of President Obama, Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa said unions are “at war” with the Tea Party and Congressional Republicans, and that “the workers of Michigan and America” are going to win that war. He shouted to the crowd, “Let’s take these sons of bitches out and take America back to where America belongs.”
These are the soldiers for Obama’s re-election committed to that “more civil” tone he is always lecturing everyone about.
GOP presidential candidate Sen. Rick Santorum reacts to Rep. Maxine Waters saying the Tea Party “can go straight to hell.” Santorum blasted Waters as “vile” and said the comment didn’t really surprise him because she’s always been “one of these real nasty anti-basic traditional and fundamental values of this country.”
Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters demonstrates the “new tone” on the Left by saying the tea party can “go straight to hell.” The comment was met with cheers from the audience, including some wearing their purple SEIU T-shirts.
Here is brief video of Tea Party Activists confronting President Obama as he worked a rope line during a stop on his Bus Tour in Iowa. The Tea Party supporters asked Obama why Vice-President Joe Biden called them “terrorists,” and pointed out the “90% of domestic terror attacks are done by Left-Wing Environmental radicals and not people like me.”
The Tea Party supporters said Obama denied that Biden ever called them “terrorists.”
Frank Schaeffer, MSNBC’s so-called “religious expert,” says Barack Obama will win his reelection “with a big margin” despite the “racist white bloc in the Republican party.”
“As the first African-American president, he has been up against a racist white bloc in the Republican party that has come dressed as the Tea Party, the religious right, all sorts of excuses…most Americans understand he hasn’t been given a chance to succeed, because he hasn’t been dealing with the normal political opposition.”
Don’t you just love how the Democrats maintain a tone of civility – even when they get their clocks cleaned. The Debt Limit Deal may not be all that good a deal in terms of getting at the root problem, but it sure has the Democrats furious. That’s always a good thing!
POLITICO: Vice President Joe Biden joined House Democrats in lashing tea party Republicans Monday, accusing them of having “acted like terrorists” in the fight over raising the nation’s debt limit.
Biden was agreeing with a line of argument made by Rep. Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) at a two-hour, closed-door Democratic Caucus meeting.
“We have negotiated with terrorists,” an angry Doyle said, according to sources in the room. “This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money.”
Biden, driven by his Democratic allies’ misgivings about the debt-limit deal, responded: “They have acted like terrorists,” according to several sources in the room.
Biden’s office declined to comment about what the vice president said inside the closed-door session. . . . . Read More
Here is video of CNN Anchor Don Lemon conducting an “interview” with GOP Sen. Rand Paul on the ongoing Debt Limit struggle. Actually, Lemon was totally unprofessional and condesending toward Paul, telling him at the outset he didn’t want to hear “talking points,” while he himself spouted one Democrat Talking Point after another!
Throughout the interview, Lemon interrupted Paul, especially when Paul was giving answers he did not agree with! At one point he literally shouted Paul down to cut off his answer and ask another question. Paul held his ground, and did well in a very difficult environment.
On Fox News Sunday, Sen. Jon Kyl goes after the Tea Party members in the House who say they are “standing on principle” by voting against raising the debt ceiling. Kyl said they remind him “a lot of Senator Barack Obama, who did the same thing, voting against the debt ceiling increase when he was in the senate.”
