Gowdy made it clear that Susan Rice, Jay Carney and others gave false information to the American people on what happened in the September 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, where four Americans were slaughtered. Gowdy also set forth the pattern of escalating violence in Benghazi in the weeks and months prior to September 11, and the pleas for help from our American personnel there that went unheeded by Obama and his administration.

Here is video of GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy on with Greta Van Susteren last night to talk about the resignation of Gen. David Petraeus as CIA Director, and its ramifications to the investigation of what happened in the Benghazi Terrorist Attack. Gowdy said his resignation because of an affair has no bearing on whether he will be expected to testify before Congress on Benghazi. In fact, Gowdy said either Petraeus will come voluntarily before the committee or he will be subpoenaed to testify – “But there’s no way we can get to the bottom of Benghazi without David Petraeus.”

Here is video of an emotional Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) today on the House Oversight Committee blasting President Barack Obama for invoking “Executive Privilege” to conceal evidence in the Fast & Furious Scandal. Gowdy asks why in the world Obama is invoking “Executive Privilege” if he did not know about, or was in no way involved in the scandal?
“If he (Obama) did not know about Fast and Furious before (Agent) Brian Terry was murdered; if he did not approve of the wiretap applications, then what in the world is he asserting Executive Privilege for? He’s either part of it or he’s not! If he’s a part of it, then we’ve had a series of witnesses that have misled this committee. . .”
